Business Valuation
Business valuations are generally as unique as each existing business enterprise, due to the varying characteristics underlying each entity. Therefore, a reliable assessment and evaluation of the facts and circumstances surrounding the purposes of each valuation engagement is necessary to assure the correct premise and standard of value, as well as the appropriate valuation methods, are applied to the engagement.
Also, depending on the nature of the engagement, the expert must employ due diligence for both the seller's and the buyer's of the transaction. This ensures both parties are making a solid financial decision. This is a common objective in applying the fair market value standard.
A supportable conclusion of fair market value is based upon a defensible application of valuation theory and facts acquired through gaining a thorough understanding of a company’s history and background, customers, products/services, marketing, competition, management and personnel, past and future economic conditions, the outlook for its industry, and comparative financial analyses. In addition, many other considerations must be made and various procedures must be performed to employ the methods to ultimately establish a conclusion of value.
We will issue either a detailed or a summary conclusion of value report to communicate our opinion as to the value for a business interest. These reports represent our highest level of service. Alternatively, we may issue a calculation report to communicate the results of valuation procedures that are less in scope than a conclusion of value report. We are also available for consultation to assist you in driving the value of your business and serving your valuation needs.
