December CMFO Roundtable Recap

Bud Jones, CPA, RMA, PSA hosted the final Certified Municipal Finance Officers Roundtable of the year on December 13, 2019 at the Nisivoccia LLP Mount Arlington Office. Fred Semrau, Esq, attorney for the Municipal Excess Liability Joint Insurance Fund, among other of his clients, started the roundtable with an interactive presentation on Ethics in Government. Jon Rheinhardt of the Borough of Wharton presented Stress Testing Your Municipality, where he discussed how to identify areas of risk that have the potential to severely disrupt the financial health of your municipality.  

Nisivoccia Wealth’s Damien Paumi, CFP®, AIF^®, CRPC gave a presentation on New Jersey’s pension plans, differences in the various tiers of the plans, and how those tiers affect less experienced employees. The team then finished the roundtable discussion with updates on FAST and Path to Progress.
