Robert Charlton Awarded Sussex County Chamber of Commerce Volunteer Award

Sussex CountyOn Thursday, March 23, Nisivoccia LLP Partner and CPA, Robert Charlton, received the 2017 Volunteer Award at the annual Sussex County Chamber of Commerce “Quality in Business, Quality in Living” awards dinner. 

Robert was first nominated in February for the Volunteer Award and was recognized as a “caring person who lives, works, and serves Sussex County.” His extensive list of philanthropic work in the county over the years was then reviewed and awarded by the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce Board of Trustees.

As an active member in the community, Bob is the Treasurer of the Christ Episcopal Church in Newton, New Jersey and has served on its finance committee for more than 20 years. He is also a Board Member and the Treasurer of the Karen Ann Quinlan Charitable Foundation, and is currently being considered by the board of another non-profit organization in Sussex County to fill the role of treasurer.

Bob has also volunteered and served in various other positions through the years. He has served as the Chair of the United Way Bike on Old Mine Road subcommittee, a member of the SB Foundation, Inc. Golf Outing Committee and as Treasurer of the Hampton Township Rotary Club and the Newton Lions Club, a Trustee for the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce and as a Board Member for the former United Way of Sussex County. Other organizations Robert has devoted his time to included Family Promise of Sussex County and Project Helping Hands and various Nisivoccia LLP related philanthropic events.

Bob considers himself very fortunate to live and work in Sussex County and is pleased to give back this wonderful community.
